  • 1 roll
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 ounces grilled steak, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
  • 1 chipotle peppers, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 small avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1/4 cup queso fresco
  • 1 tablespoon ?cilantro, chopped
  • pickled jalapeños (optional)


  1. Using a serrated knife, slice open the roll.
  2. Using the back of a spoon, press down on the interior sides of the roll, creating an indented pockets to hold ingredients.
  3. Spread butter on both halves of the roll. Under a broiler, slightly toast the rolls.
  4. To prepare the sandwich, spread adobo sauce to each side of the bun.
  5. Add chipotle peppers on top of each half.
  6. Add the steak to the bottom half of the bun and then add the tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, queso fresco, cilantro, and pickled jalapeños.
  7. Close the sandwich and wrap tightly in butcher paper.
